Hi @M_D2,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error code B8336BE8 on an HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 indicates a problem with the printer's firmware. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue,

  • Restart the printer: Turn off the printer, unplug the power cord from the wall outlet, and wait for a few minutes. Then, plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer.
  • Update the firmware: Visit the HP website and download the latest firmware for your printer. Follow the instructions to install the update.
  • Reset the printer: Press and hold the "Power" button on the printer for at least 15 seconds. This will reset the printer to its default settings.
  • Check for hardware issues: Make sure that the printer's hardware components are functioning properly. Check for any loose or damaged cables, paper jams, or other obstructions.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
