I have a new HP OfficeJET Pro 7740, and since having this my business documents are not printing the header or footer. I am using windows 10. and my laptop is only 6 months old HP Envy Notebook.
When Printing on my sisters HP OfficeJET Pro 7720 she has another option of 'keep document layout' within the print menu options, when this is checked it will print header and footer.
My margins for header and footer are quite standard so not too narrow
What am I missing on my printer to ensure my header and footer is printed.?
Thanks

Let's try to do a root uninstall and reinstall of the software:
Unplug any USB cable, if any, before doing this.
1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'
6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between "printui.exe" and "/s")
8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo
14.) Type c:/programdata and click Ok. Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
15.) Restart the computer.
Once done, please download and install the software from here:

Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I reviewed your post and I understand that the printer is not printing the header and footer.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
From which application/software you are printing?
The header and footer settings are not set through the printer's drivers or software, and instead are part of the program you are using.
For example: If you are using MS Word you can adjust the settings individually.
Word document > File > Print > Click Page Setup > tab Layout
I hope that answers your question and you have a great day!

That works in word, however only if I hard wire to the printer HP7740. It still doesn't work if I go wireless to the printer.
How do I overcome the wireless issue, as ideally that is why I bought the wireless printer.?
Thanks
