My HP OfficeJet Pro 8610 Printhead missing error persists after taking the following steps:

1. Replacing w/ new Printhead

2. Disconnecting the power cord, reseating the Printhead, closing the door, reconnecting the power cord (3 times)

 

Error Message:  The printhead appears to be missing, not detected, or incorrectly installed.

Did you update the printer firmware?
