HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 All-in-One Printer

Hello - all of a sudden my 8710 won't print or copy. I am working from a Mac OS  Sonoma 14.2.1 (23C71) but it won't print from any device. I tried from my iphone and so did my husband and no dice. When I hit print, the print queue pops up and the printer on the left says "in use" and is yellow but the print job just searches and searches. On the screen of the printer, a little green line at the top shows up with a red x and flashes from green to gray. I can click the red x and it will cancel the print job or I can cancel it from the print queue. When I try to copy, a circle appears and it says "copying 1/2" or whatever but it just keeps spinning and doesn't actually do it. I have reset it (unplugged the power cord), I have checked my drivers, I have tested printing from different applications, I am on the same network and I have direct connected to the 8710 network with no success. I downloaded the HP Smart diagnostic tool and it doesn't say anything is wrong but when it says to print a test page to see if it is resolved, it won't print. It is on wireless printing, not hard wired. help?
