Printer will not print black. I went through all HP steps with no resolution, including HP system print head cleaning and any software  updates. Also replaced black ink cartridge with no resolution.

Hi The_Fossette;

Yes I've been from one end of that article to the other. Initially the black ink was working but not well  enough to print a page to do an allignment. Then it  stopped working all together. I've lost count for the number of times I've done the clean head proceedure. It will  print the other 3 colors,  when I have cartiges containing ink, but not black. I even changed to a new black print cartridge. I've cleaned the connectors. Is there something else I should look at. I'm about ready to go out and buy a new printer. The print cartiges cost almost as much as a new printer! This printer has worked flawlessly up to now.

Thanks for your  help.
