Hello,

I bought a used Printer HP Officejet 4630. I checked it with the previous owner and everything was ok. Now the code appears when you switch on : OXC4EB827FHW_MICCI 2c. I think that ist a Problem with the instant-cartridges because i am nor registered for it. Now i want to replace the cartridges with normal 301 but the slide doesn`move. Can someone help ?

Hi @Printerscore224,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I see that you are facing an issue with your printer.

A) Please follow the steps below to perform a power drain.

1) Take out the cartridges. If the carriage does not move automatically, try to move it manually with a bit pressure to move it.

2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.

3) Press and hold the power button down for 15 seconds and release the power button, wait for about 30 seconds.

4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not into a surge protector.

5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

Remove the cartridges > Unplug the power cord > Wait for 30 seconds > Plug the power cord back in > Insert the cartridges

If the above steps do not work, skip to step B.

B) Kindly refer to the steps on this link to update the printer firmware and let me know if that resolves the issue.

Hi @Printerscore224,

I am sorry for the delayed response and to hear that the above steps did not help much.

Please click on the below link to further troubleshoot and try to move the carriage after shutting down the printer manually by applying a little pressure if the steps from the below link do not help.

Hello  , I used the print and scan doctor and the error message disappeared. I can print again but now the message is that communication with the scanner is not possible.

Thank´s for the help.
