HP Officejet 4630 e-All-in-One Printer

HP Officejet 4630 e-All-in-One Printer requested to be restarted after I printed 5 quarter pages.  So, I restarted it, but it would not turn no. I unplugged it from the outlet and plugged it. It started to go into the startup process. Blue light and ink cartridges jumping into place, but then it shuts off.  I unplugged and plugged in again the same thing.  Can someone please help?

Hi Cruby83,

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the " Printer Turns Off Unexpectedly or Repeatedly" issue.

Let's try a power reset on the printer-

Reset the product

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  1. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  4. Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  5. Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

Try steps4-7 in the document Printer Turns Off Unexpectedly or Repeatedly

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
