I have been using my printer for years, and it worked fine even after switiching routers earlier in the year. Now however it won't connect to wifi and I haven't changed any settings. When trying to connect and printing the report it tells me to check if mac address filtering is enabled. I have checked the router and I have mac address filtering disabled with open connections allowed. I have tried cycling the modem power, cycling the printer's power, reseting to default wireless settings all with no luck. Are there any other suggestions that could work?

Replacing/reconnecting/changing your wireless router, try here.
http://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/wireless-printing-center/reconfiguring-system-help3.html
* Reset your printer back to Network Defaults. Then run the Wireless Setup Wizard to connect. Both can be accessed from the front panel or computer. If no front panel for configuration, you must use your Printer USB cable to connect. You can also try the WPS method if your router/printer supports this only if the Wizard or Printer USB cable is not available. Read your User Guide for info.
* Wireless printers only connect to the 2.4G band in your router. The router must have the 2.4G SSID band enabled with a different SSID name than your 5.0G SSID band in your router.
* Set router to a fixed wireless channel like 1, 6 or 11, never ‘auto’. Try channel 1 first then the others one at a time.
* Make sure printer and router are at least 5 feet apart.
* Make sure IPv6 is disabled in the printer.
Make and model of modem and router?
However if you have a Gateway (modem+router) device, all Gateway devices are terrible for wireless connectivity. If this does not work, suggest you think about putting that gateway device in full bridge mode and install your own high quality router that YOU have full control over.

I have reset the printer back to network defaults numerous times and rerun the setup wizard to connect with no success. I have also tried the wps method with no success. My router has both 2.4 and 5.0 enabled with different names. I have tried changing channels, from 6, and 11 and that didn't work. The printer and the router are across the room from eachother and I just tried disabling IPv6 which also didn't fix the problem.
It is a combined modem router made by hitron, CGNM-2250.
Like I said there has been no problems up until now and I haven't made any change to my settings.
I also just tried using my phone as a hotspot and theh printer was able to connect to the wifi from my phone.

OK, in the router, temporarily disable all security on your 2.4G SSID. Now try to connect to your printer to the unsecured SSID with no password. Are you successful?
If yes, go back and add WPA2-AES with a password and try again. Status now?
