Microsoft Windows 11

I was going to print a document and when I clicked on the Print button, HP Smart said it had an update. I updated it and when I try to print, I am getting an error on my printer stating : ERROR CODE 0X83C00000A NOS_LOADER_APP. I had printed another document a couple of hours before with no problems.

I checked the community and came up with some similar posts, but none of the resolutions listed have worked. I was able to change the color cartridge to a new HP cartridge. There is nothing jammed or blocking the ink travel.

Anyone have any ideas, or am I going to have to get a new printer?

Thank you for the reply Sandytechy20. I tried the steps listed but I can no longer even get the printer to start up. I unplugged the printer, waited an hour and then plugged it in. It immediately displays ERROR CODE 0XBB!!!ABO  and the power button flashes. I can't get it to start up in order to get the wifi connection to connect to my PC to use HP Smart, so this didn't help.

You might have to perform a semi-full reset on the printer to fix this issue.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I am sending you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.

I hope this helps resolve this issue completely.

Thanks for the reply again. I was not able to see if your steps would resolve the issue. I unplugged my printer and waited a few hours to plug it back in. Now it will not power up at all, so the steps could have resolved it, I am unable to affirm.

I ended up having to buy a new printer which is crappy because I just bought ink cartridges which of course do not work in the new printer. Not happy with the latest HP Smart update. No issues prior to that.
