Hi @Leebog
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error codes you're seeing on your HP OfficeJet 4635 printer indicate a problem with the printer's internal system. Here's what each code generally means and some steps you can take to resolve the issues:
1. Error Code: 0x83C0000A
This error typically refers to a cartridge or printhead issue, where the printer is unable to detect one or more ink cartridges properly.
Possible Solutions:
- Check Ink Cartridges: Ensure the ink cartridges are properly installed and not damaged. Remove them and reinstall them to ensure a proper connection.
- Clean the Cartridges and Printhead: Sometimes ink residue can cause issues. Gently clean the ink cartridge contacts and the printhead area using a soft, lint-free cloth lightly moistened with water.
- Check for Obstructions: Make sure there are no paper jams or foreign objects blocking the cartridge carriage.
2. Error Code: 0xB80003CC
This error code generally indicates a hardware failure, often associated with the printer's internal system, such as the printhead or the printer's motor or sensor.
Possible Solutions:
- Power Cycle the Printer: Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
- Reset the Printer: If a simple power cycle doesn’t work, try performing a hard reset. Unplug the printer, wait for a minute, and then plug it back in.
- Inspect for Obstructions or Jams: Ensure that there are no paper jams, obstructions, or any sticky residue inside the printer.
3. Error Code: 0xB80003E8
This error often suggests a mechanical failure or a communication error between the printer's components, such as the printhead and the ink carriage.
Possible Solutions:
- Turn off and Restart the Printer: As with the other errors, turn off the printer, wait 30 seconds, and then turn it back on.
- Check the Cartridge Carriage: If the ink cartridge tray is stuck and not moving, gently try to move the tray (ensure the printer is powered off when doing this). There may be a paper jam or obstruction in the carriage path that is preventing movement.
I hope this helps.
