Officejet Pro 6835

Office Jet 6835 won't print black ink. Other colors print fine.  Have tried all suggested fixes.  Would replace the printer but it appears that every printer that takes Ink 934 and 935 have been discontinued.  Have only had the printer for a few years - but it is a refurbished one. (Go figure, the last one broke too.) Too bad i just purchased new ink (for a total of over $120) that i now can't return and cannot use.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Are you able to copy in black? Have you tried all the steps from here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-officejet-pro-6830-e-all-in-one-printer-series/5390307/model...?

It could be a defective cartridge too. Were you able to print in black from your previous black cartridge?

Let me know if this helps.

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the "Accept as solution" button, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Thanks!

I have tried three separate NEW black cartridges.  Very expensive attempt to fix and still not able to print in black.

This seems to be a hardware issue.

I request you to talk to HP support.

They might have multiple options to help you with this.

  1. Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
  2. Select the country.
  3. Enter the serial of your device.
  4. Select the country from the drop-down.
  5. Click on "Show Options".
  6. Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

 I hope that helps.

If this helps, please mark the public post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.
