HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-All-in-One Printer - N911a
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi!

I have read and read and nothing is a solution for me. I have a HP Officejet 8600 PRO and it has been great until today. I picked up a HP Officejet 8615 PRO for free, wher the printerhed issuewas. Said it was missing or have been installed incorrect. It is the same printer head as my 8600 and thought I just could install that priner head to make the 8615 work. Yes, it worke for about 10 minutes and printed well, but than the error occured again. Then I reinstalled the printer head to my 8600 again and the it got the same error.

i have tested all the tip I have found and nothing works. Is there any solution on this thatworks? The 8600 sounds like normal at start up and hen i pick ut the cartiridges it says they are missing. That means that the printer head is connected and works. But when the cartridges is back the error comes back.

Please help me once for all!

I have tried that. My HP starts up with blue, yellow and black ink. As son as I put in the magenta I receive the printhead missing issue. I bought a new magenta and gave it a new try today. The same issue. I put the magenta in another colour's slot and still the same issue.

But now I have noticed that magenta is noticed as long another ink is out of the slot. With three ink cartridges in the printer it is ok and saying which colour that is missing.

Another but now is when I put in all ink cartridges it says that all is out of colour except the magenta. What is happening???

Hi @Estevez71

We can perform a factory defaults on the printer to resolve the issue

To restore the printer to the original factory defaults

1. From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch ( Setup ).

2. Touch Printer Maintenance.

3. Touch Restore.

4. Touch Restore Factory Defaults. A message appears stating that the factory defaults will be restored.

It didn't work. You are giving the same suggestions every time and this another issue. As long I have 3 cartridges I can use the menu. When I put in the 4th the printhead issue is back. I have read all suggestions already and please come with something new.
