My friend asked me to look at the printer above. It was complaining of paper jams and 0x6100004a error codes. My issue when they gave it to me included the carriage was stuck on the right side. It would not move to the left. When you open the carriage cover There is a removable black cover that creates a paper path. I removed it and the printer worked. I tested that a few times to make sure it was not a fluke. I put the black cover back in place,. The I had some nasty paper jams. I discovered the cover pivots at the back you push down on the front of the cover to latch it in place. The trick is when you engage the cover at the back and swing it down. Push it back a bit and then snap it in place. It like pops in to place in the rear catches (left and right) . the front of it was blocking he carriage. I hope this helps someone.
