Just bought this printer and had problems right out of the box. Took it back and got a replacement and still have same problems. My desktop is Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. I can print jpg's and pdf files all day long, but will not print spreadsheets or docs. Tried MS Office and WPS Office with same result. No printing. Doesnt matter if its a new or old document or spreadsheet. It acts like it is going to print, but document pending is zero and nothing prints. I've uninstalled, reninstalled and run scan doctor with no improvement. Printer works fine on my Windows 10 laptop.

Hi @Getch394
Thank you for being a part of HP Forums! 🙂
It’ll be an honor to guide you through the steps needed to identify your concern and address your query.
The issue could have been caused by the security settings changed on the user profile.
You may either create a new user, login with the new user profile to install the printer or Turn off the UAC from the control panel and Restart the PC.
Here are the steps to configure UAC settings:
- Open User Account Control Settings by clicking the Start button and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type uac, and then click Change User Account Control settings.
- To turn off UAC, move the slider to the Never notify position, and then click OK.
- If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. You will need to restart your computer for UAC to be turned off.
Let me know if this helps.
