I'm running macOS 12.0 Monterey, and my printer's screen is blue, and the lights are flashing since 6:00 pm PST. There's an error B815BFE4. The last thing I did was put a document in the document feeder to scan this afternoon, and it got stuck. I pulled it out, and then I just scanned it from the scanner glass. I left the printer on after that, and then I was told this evening that the screen was blue and that the lights were flashing. What should I do?

I'd like to help!

 

I understand you are receiving a "B815BFE4" error on the printer screen.

 

We can perform a factory defaults on the printer to resolve the issue

 

Reset the product

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

 

 To restore the printer to the original factory defaults

 

1. From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch ( Setup ).

2. Touch Printer Maintenance.

3. Touch Restore.

4. Touch Restore Factory Defaults. A message appears stating that the factory defaults will be restored.
