Recently replaced the magenta cartridge with new HP brand magenta 951. Error shows as a small icon on printer's screen ... small print head spraying ink. Printer will not print.
I looked for solutions on HP support site ... tried to run automatic print head cleaning routine ... no change. Tried resetting the printer ... no change. Removed the print head and replaced (as per HP instructions) ... no change.
I hate to buy a new printer and dump over $100 worth of new print cartidges ... is there anything else I can do?
Thanks,
Richard

First, thank you for the reply ...
I looked up the serial number, was told the printer was out of warranty (I knew that), and was not offered any support other than this forum.
To answer your questions, the printer was working fine before replacing the magenta cartridge (I used HP brand 915 cartridge). I see no real error message (text), just a small icon the looks like the print hear spraying ink, and the power button blinking.
I have tried all the suggested solutions, and removed and replaced the print head (carefully) several times. Never any change. Nothing will print, including the configuration page. Paper is new and properly installed in the tray. All looks completely normal, except for the little spray icon.
