I have an HP Officejet Pro 8600 All in one. I have been using it for nearly a year and recently when I print on regular copy paper my finished doc comes out with a bend in the paper. The bend is always at the same location, 2 1/2" from the top of the page. The creased section is about 1/2" in length. Print quality and all else is good.
I have printed some brochures with this printer using heavy guage brochure paper which does not bend as does my regular stock. Any ideas.

I have the same problem, but right off the box !
THIS IS SHAMEFUL !!! The printer is basically unusable !
Sometimes it even shreds paper !!
Also the printer driver is extremely basic, compared to Canon for example.
On the top of that, it does not save the changes in your settings,
you have to bury into the HP software !
Also the printer is not capable of making a borderless copy.
And last but not the least the printing quality is very poor,
my Canon printer makes better prints with generic ink...
It's also big and noisy.
I completely regret my purchase,
I can't even sell it now as it's deffective !

The HP printer line seems to be going down hill.
In order to keep some printing going without tearing out my hair, I resorted to a Maintenace Contract on the HP 8600.
I should not have to do that to get over 90 days on a printer.
