macOS 10.14 Mojave

My issue is verified on macOS (10.14) and Windows 10.  Basically, the printer can be added and responds to a ping from both computers but ultimately you can't print anything besides the reporting/configuration pages. Strangely, the fax works. No changes in hardware/software to prompt this.

macOS Mojave:

I can add it, see its queue/ink levels and the computer acts like it’s printing, but nothing actually happens.

I’ve tried restarting it and reinstalling the printer in settings.
I’m unable to add it as an AirPrint printer, but I have been able to in the past.
Adding it as a normal printer and letting macOS find the driver works, but it doesn’t actually print

AirPrint setup:

I've also cleared the queue and reset the print system as illustrated here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02239404

-Tried following @Flower_Bud response to similar issue (https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Inkjet-Printing/HP-OfficeJet-Pro-8600-will-not-print/td-p/6665568😞

Screen Shot 2019-04-10 at 8.51.47 PM.pngAlso tried this from a closed thread describing the same issues (https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Inkjet-Printing/Printer-prints-test-page-but-nothing-else/td-p/5209048...) :

For Windows 10, I followed @Sushyn2005 instructions of restarting the print spooler, deleting printer from Printer Server properties, and re-adding printer. (https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printers-Archive-Read-Only/printing-error/m-p/3616435/highlight/true#M...

As well as these intructions from @KrazyToad (https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Inkjet-Printing/HP-Officejet-Pro-8600-not-printing/m-p/6819793#M748383😞

"Let's start with a Printer Reset

(1) Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
(2) Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
(3) With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
(4) Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
(5) Wait at least 60 seconds.
(6) Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.
(7) Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
(8) Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.
Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed

Then uninstall the printer driver from Root Level, download the Full Feature Software and the Firmware

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
6.) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the “Drivers” tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Restart the computer and download the Full Feature Software and the Firmware from https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/printers and follow the onscreen Instructions"

Still not printing and HP Print and Scan Doctor show that all other components are healthy but has problems here printing test page:

I can access the EWS and I've verified recommended settings on there as well but as mentioned, utimatley cannot print normal jobs from macOS and Windows 10. To make troubleshooting more frustrating, there seems to be an issue with the printer's serial number being recognized in the warranty lookup system:

A warm welcome to HP Community!

Resetting the printer network settings, reconnecting the printer back to network and then adding a compatible driver may resolve the issue. Here is how to do it:

1.) Unplug your modem/router and leave it powered off.

2.) Restart your printer, from the printer control panel, touch (right arrow), touch Setup, and then touch Network. Touch Restore Network Defaults, and then select Yes.

3.) Power off your printer

4.) Reconnect your modem/router and wait for it to re-establish its internet connection.

5.) Power on your printer.

6.) On the printer control panel, touch (right arrow), touch Setup, and then touch Network.

7.) Touch Wireless, touch Wireless Setup Wizard, and then touch OK. Touch the name of your network, and then follow the instructions to connect the printer to your home WiFi.

Once the printer is connected to your home WiFi, remove any existing printer software/driver from Mac and Windows PC and then add compatible driver.

Let me know how it goes!
