HP Officejet Pro 8600
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Product is an Officejet Pro 8600. Two weeks ago, an error message came on the printer showing "Printer Error Please turn printer off then on" all of the lights were flashing including the numbers. I turned the printer off, unplugged it, held the power button down for a minute, unplugged the phone cable for the fax and the problem still exist. It works for a day or two and then goes back into the error mode.

Any suggestions other than throw it in the trash and buy a new one.  Use to work great until this happened.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Try connecting the Printer to a different wall outlet directly.

Also, try a firmware update: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_1776648-1643972-16

Let me know if this helps.
