I told my printer to print a document and it worked just fine and 10 seconds later I told it to print a second document and I got the error message that the printhead appears to missing, not detected, or incorrectly installed.  I followed all of the steps to reset the printer.  I checked for updates for the printer and it is current.  I suspect this has something to do with Windows updates I installed earlier today.  Has anyone else run into this issue?

@tm_20, Welcome to HP Support Community!

I see that your printer throws Printhead error when you try to send a print job. I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve the issue.

If you have already performed the steps from the document Error Indicates Faulty Printhead and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

Hope this helps!
