Hi @1IslandGal,
Welcome to the HP Support Forum!
To change the time on your printer, on the printer control panel display touch Setup, select Preferences, select Date and Time, select Set the time, and then follow the on-screen instructions.
Let me know if that helps!

Thank you very much. Your directions worked. This is a fairly new printer. I have only had it for about 1 month. On my previous HP Printers there has been what I will call a "Set-Up Window" that you could tap on and get to Preferences. The "Set-Up Window" does not exist on this printer screen. There is, however, a little (and I do mean LITTLE) settings icon in the upper left corner of the screen. Until I got your response, I did not realize that was where I should click because it was so very small. There is absolutely nothing in the pre-printed material that came with the printer that gives instructions on re-setting the time, which is crazy, because the time changes 2 times a year. I Googled that topic, also no luck. I called a phone number that was listed as HP Customer Service, which it was not. I was connected to "Mike Wilson" in Asia who, after trying to fix the issue for 25 minutes, wanted to sell me a $49 fix to my problem . That did not happen. I guess whoever he works for didn't tell him that, in the U. S., if something doesn't work right out of the box, we return the item to the place of purchase.
Thank you for being a part of the HP community. I appreciate so very much that you were able to provide me with instructions.
I have used HP products (both computers and printers) exclusively since the early 1990's, but have recently gotten very disapponted in the level of service they now offer. This is a brand new printer for gosh sakes! I couldn't even find out how to start an online chat for directions. 😞
