Operating System: Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan

I have an old HP Officejet Pro L7590 Inkjet printer (about 10 years old) that now prints with white horizontal streaks blocking out letters and lines. Tried cleaning the scanner, the Automatic Document Feeder, and printheads. Nothing worked. Suggestions? or is the machine just too old?
