Ok thanks. I wish I would have never tried to clean the printer heads now. I was just trying to avoid replacing a less than 2 year old printer just because the ink was streaking and was very light colored. Now I still might have to replace a very young printer.

Welcome to HP support. I have read this post comprehensively. I see that there have been several interactions with a very reputed forum expert. There might be more to it than meets the eye.
Does it make photocopies directly without any communication from the computer?
Please try these steps:
Make 2 copies of a document directly from the printer without any communication from the computer. This is to check if the printer has a hardware issue.
If it copies correctly then install the printer as a USB printer first by following these steps to remove the printer and install it again at the root level:
- Please perform a hard reset on the printer from this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-deskjet-1000-printer-series-j110/4066042/model/4066376/docum... and follow instructions from the section “Step 1: Reset the printer”
- Then update the printer firmware also by following instructions from this link: https://support.hp.com/bg-en/document/c02919168
- There is an associated YouTube video on how to do it. Use a USB cable to do it.
- In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
- Select your HP printer.
- Select Uninstall.
- In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
- In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
- Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
- Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
- Click on Drivers tab.
- Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
- Select OK.
- Remove all instances of the same.
- Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
- Close Devices and Printers.
- Restart the PC again.
Then download the latest full feature driver from this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-photosmart-5510-e-all-in-one-printer-series-b111... and install it on the computer after selecting the correct operating system.
Connect the printer to your computer only when the setup prompts for the printer.
- Now change the USB printer connection type to a wireless one by following all the recommended steps from this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-photosmart-5510-e-all-in-one-printer-series-b111/5053904/mod... (HP Printers - Changing from a USB to a Wireless Connection)
- Perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. Good luck to you.
Let me know how it goes. To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help. If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles. Take care and have a blessed week ahead. 🙂

Sorry I'm late getting back to you. I've been out of town on business the last couple of days.
The printer did attempt to make the copies. I say attempt because the document I tried to copy came out with just a few lines of streaked black ink.
Were you suggesting that I try to hook the printer directly to the PC with a USB cable? Because the printer is in another part of my home and I don't really have anywhere to put the printer next to my PC to hook it up with a USB cable.
I think the printer is just shot and I'm going to have to buy a new one which is a shame because it's only a couple of years old but if you don't print a lot, it's going to ruin it. It seems like to have to print something on it at least once a week or it's going to kill it.

Your response was super quick. Thanks for the update. You've done great by displaying great efforts and troubleshooting skills. It is amply appreciated. You nailed it when you stated that the printer could be faulty. It needs to be used at least twice a week. I did suggest to hook it up using a USB cable and converting it to a wireless connection.
