Ran all the tests. Color is missing in black although cartridge is full. Won't copy either. Not sure if I should purchase another printer on black Friday. Help!

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂 I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.
Let's clean the Printhead:
-
Load plain, white paper in the tray.
-
On the printer control panel, touch the Settings icon
.
-
Touch Tools, and then touch Clean Printhead.
The printer cleans the printhead and prints a test page.
-
Check the test page for defects.
-
If these steps resolved the issue, there is no need to continue troubleshooting. The following precautions might prevent the issue in the future.
-
Avoid leaving unprotected ink cartridges out of the printer for an extended period of time.
-
Always use the Power button to turn off the printer. This protects the ink cartridges from exposure to air.
-
-
If the issue persists, continue to the next step, which is to Align the Printer.
-
Load plain, white paper in the tray.
-
On the printer control panel, touch the Settings icon
.
-
Touch Tools, and then touch Align Printer.
After the alignment, a message displays on the printer control panel that tells you the alignment status.
Also, print the Print Quality Report and let me know if you see any black on it.
-
On the printer control panel, touch the Settings icon
.
-
Touch Tools, and then touch Print Quality Report.
If the issue still persists, this would be most likely a Hardware Failure.
