Really hoping for some help and advice here as not that tech savvy with my printer and really need it.
Only used it a week ago and no issues and it had always been very reliable, but now it just won't print black at all.
Cartridge looked a bit low so replaced with genuine HP cartridge but didn't help.
Checked it's fitted correctly, cleaner printer heads twice and checked cartridge vented properly.
Didn't copy either.
Tried to re-align twice but get message "Alignment failure, cartridges are set to default quality.
Any ideas on what it could be and how to fix it?

@voyant64, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I understand you are not able to print in black. I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve this issue by performing the necessary troubleshooting steps.
If you have tried the steps mentioned in this document and the issue persists, I'm afraid this is a hardware issue with the printhead of the printer as you have already used an alternate new black ink cartridge.
Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
