I got this printer second hand and it works great except the color copies/prints come out with yellow lines every half inch or so.  Have tried all obvious fixes without success.  The page below seems to indicate that the Cyan cartridge might be the problem.  Does anyone have any suggestions for me?  Thanks!SKM_C3850FS190416122900_0001.jpg

@SusieQueue,

Thank you for posting your query on HP Community,

This looks like a possible hardware failure, however, I would suggest you can try to clean the ink cartridge contacts as well as the printhead.

Let's try these steps here:

Perform a hard reset on the printer and make sure that the printer is connected directly to the wall outlet and not to the surge protector.

Remove all the ink cartridges and then try to perform a hard reset on the printer.

With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

Remove USB cable, if present.

Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.

Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord and then plug back the power cord to the printer.

Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.

Now insert the ink cartridges and then try to print a test page and check if it works.

You may follow these links here for cleaning the ink cartridge contacts as well as for cleaning the printhead:

If you have followed the steps suggested and still having the issue. I would personally suggest this could be an issue with the printer.

I would recommend you contact our HP support team for further assistance.

Thank you.  I did all that, but it made no difference.  When I went to the support link, it wasn't clear who I should contact for a possible hardware issue?  Although I imagine it won't be under warranty anyway.
