Hello,
I have a Photosmart 7760 Printer that has been used very little from new (less than 50 prints) and has been out of use for some years. When trying a Test Print the Magenta colour is blank, for both the photo and colour test areas; the black area is also a bit streaky. The cartridges are genuine HP and the ink levels high (90% and 70%); I've tried the cartridge cleaning tool option several times with no improvement. I've also tried removing and cleaning the print heads on the cartridges using water and a lint free cloth, with no improvement.
Is there anything else I can try? Is the problem likely to be within the print cartridges, or is there another area within the printer that could be at fault? I guess one option would be to try new cartridges, but I don't want to spend out if I can't be pretty sure that will fix the problem. Many thanks
Brian
