Photosmart B209a

My printer is malfunctioning with a blue screen code 824c1800. It is a Photosmart B209a. It contains HP ink cartridges, new. Has not worked for sometime, I'm about to give up and recycle it. I have turned it off and on again many times. I cannot find any online info that states what an 824c1800 error is or how to fix it. There is no functionality at all. Any thoughts would be appreciated before I take it off for recycling.

Let us try these steps to resolve this issue:

 

Reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.

 

Make sure there are no papers jammed inside the printer and if the print carriage is moving freely.

If the error persists, I'm afraid this is a hardware failure. I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.
