I really need  help!!! I have been on this site since yesterday just trying to post my question. I truly would appreciate any assistance. I have Windows 2007 XP - HP Photosmart C3140 All in One. All was working well until I installed a new Router - Linksys by Cicso Wireless-N-Home Router. My roommate has a wireless computer not a laptop. He installed the router - My printer goes through the motions as if it's going to print although nothing prints. I tried to locate the my HP Photosmart C3140 All in One on my computer it's not listed. My computer list my old printer that I use to have installed HP Photosmart C3100 series Advanced Document. There are at least 5 items listed in the print que. How do I get my C3140 reinstalled? This is so frustrating. I really don't want to hire a computer geek to fix it. With specific step by step instructions I'm hoping you can provide, I feel confident I can do it on my own. Sorry for TMI (too much info)

What is a PCU?  Is the printer plugged directly into your computer via USB?

This is a USB only printer.  Is it plugged into the new router or your computer or your roommate's?

First, go to Start > Control Panel > Printers and delete all stuck print jobs in the "old" printer by double-clicking the printer, go to File, Erase all print jobs (or similar wording, don't have XP in front of me right now).  Once they are gone, select the printer and hit the delete key on your keyboard.  This will delete the old version of the printer.  If there are more than one old versions of the printer, do the same with them.

Re-installing the printer depends on the answer to my question above.

The Printer is USB only and is plugged in to my PCU. I have Cox as my internet provider, my computer is connected to he router and the monitor as well as my roommate. I hope I explained that correctly.

Thank you,

I also have a hp c3140 and installed the correct driver after having a malware tech go thru my new laptop just 1 month old trying to install wireless. And found errors from my network from previously owed computers. I got the same issues from those laptops. Check your roomates errors it could be shared.
