New printer donated to our small nonprofit organization: I keep getting a "cartridge blocked" error on the little screen with instructions to remove cardboard or tape blocking it. There is nothing there. Brand new ink cartridges.
It's also telling me to insert tricolor cartridge but a new one is already installed.
I have performed a semi-full reset. I have followed all of the troubleshooting steps. None of it has worked.

I understand you are facing an ink cartridge issue with your HP Photosmart C5280 All-In-One Printer. I really appreciate your efforts in trying all the troubleshooting steps.
As you have mentioned that you have already tried performing a Semi-full reset but you are still facing the issue. This could possibly be a hardware issue.
