Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 and Windows 10. When ever I try to print a document from my computer the printer shows a green bar at the top of the LCD screen with a small red X in the right corner and does not print the document.   I have tried everything - resetting to the factory settings, removing the power cord and ink then waiting and restarting, downloading new drivers, clearing the printer queue file, restarting the computer.  The printer says it can’t print because it is “initializing.”  The “initializing” message will not go away no matter how many hours I wait.  The test page does not print as well. 

How can I fix this?

I'd like to help!

 

I understand the printer is stuck on initializing screen.

 

We can perform a factory defaults on the printer to resolve the issue

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
