I am in no way a novice at technology. I can get done what i need to get done on computer USUALLY. Recently i put HP Smart Print on 2 computers. Long story short, I cant get it to print from my chromebook. All it does is save the file...

The short answer:

HP Smart is not yet supported in Chromebook.

Apparently, Chrome OS is not the right flavor of Android.

So, it's not you - it's the software and it not liking Chrome OS.
