I purchased a HP Smart tank 585 printer today and I followed all the instructions and setup the printer, it also connected to wifi successfully, but then after 2-3 minutes it disconnects wifi and all lights blink and I need to power cycle it and it happens again. What is wrong..?

Hi @LeMaxx ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If all lights on your HP Smart Tank 585 printer are blinking, it typically indicates an issue that needs attention. Here are steps you can follow to troubleshoot the problem:
Check Wi-Fi Connection:
- Make sure that the printer is within the range of your Wi-Fi network.
- Verify that the Wi-Fi credentials (SSID and password) entered during setup are correct.
- Ensure that there are no issues with your Wi-Fi network, such as signal interference.
Restart the Printer:
- Power off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
Update Firmware:
- Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer. Visit the official HP website and search for the latest firmware for your printer model. Follow the instructions to update the firmware.
Reset Network Settings:
- On the printer control panel, navigate to the wireless settings.
- Look for an option to reset network settings or restore defaults.
- Perform the reset and then set up the Wi-Fi connection again.
Check for Interference:
- Ensure that no electronic devices or objects causing interference with the Wi-Fi signal.
- Keep the printer away from devices like cordless phones, microwave ovens, and other wireless devices.
Review User Manual or Documentation:
- Check the user manual or documentation that came with the printer for any specific troubleshooting steps related to Wi-Fi connectivity issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

None of them worked, raised a complaint and today technician replaced the motherboard. But now a new problem, it connects to wifi and stays on and when I open the HP smart app it says finish setup, which on clicking asks some permissions then it says press the blinking i button, which I did, but it keeps stuck there and no matter how many times I try I cant get past it, then after a few tries says setup failed contact support and then again I have to factory reset and same thing keeps happening.
