I'm trying to open a support ticket with HP, but it's requiring me to add the product to my profile. When entering the serial number, it's requesting the product number. When entering the product number, I keep getting an error saying that it's invalid. It's an M255DW LaserJet printer and the product number that I've found is 7KW64A. I've tried other variations that I've found on different websites for people with the same issue, but nothing is working. Is there a way to open a warranty claim without this? Or at least without HP trying (and failing) to verify it's own product numbers?

7KW64A is correct

log into HP Smart and add the device

Do the same with the HP Support assistant.

get HP Smart from the microsoft store if needed or if you want the newest version. You will have to sign into HP Smart using your HP account. The latest version as of Jun, 2024 is 154.2.1072.0 (USA English). If you do not have this version then go to the Microsoft store, find HP Smart, and click "update". If the button "update" is missing then you need to run "wsreset" from the Windows search bar.

Get the latest HP support assistant

see if you can add that product id now
