Hi, I am unable to do anything on my printer because all lights are blinking yellow - this happened when trying to connect my printer to a new wifi network. I saw another thread on this and tried each of the suggestions, but again all lights are blinking. I checked and my printer is no longer under warranty. Is there any way to reset the whole machine, or anything else I can do to fix this issue so I can use my printer? TY!

Hi @yggof1017,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
When your HP Tango printer's lights are flashing yellow, it usually indicates an issue with the Wi-Fi connection or another internal problem. Here are the steps you can follow to reset your printer and resolve this issue:
Steps to Reset Your HP Tango Printer:
Power Cycle the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 60 seconds.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
Reset the Printer:
- Press and hold the Wi-Fi button and the Power button on the back of the printer simultaneously for about 5 seconds.
- Release the buttons. The printer will start resetting and should return to its default settings, including Wi-Fi settings.
Reconfigure Wi-Fi Settings:
- Download and install the HP Smart app on your smartphone or computer if you haven't already.
- Open the HP Smart app and follow the on-screen instructions to set up your printer and connect it to your new Wi-Fi network.
- Ensure that your printer is within range of the Wi-Fi router during this process.
Additional Steps to Troubleshoot:
Check for Firmware Updates:
- Sometimes, updating the printer's firmware can resolve connectivity issues. Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date by checking through the HP Smart app or the HP support website.
Router Settings:
- Ensure that your Wi-Fi network is using a 2.4 GHz band if your printer does not support 5 GHz. Also, check if your router’s security settings (WPA2) are compatible with the printer.
Factory Reset:
- If the above steps do not resolve the issue, a more thorough factory reset may be necessary. To perform a full reset, you might need to contact HP Support for detailed instructions specific to your printer model.
HP Print and Scan Doctor:
- If you have a Windows PC, you can use the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool to diagnose and fix printer problems. Download and run this tool to see if it can resolve your connectivity issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Hi @Rachel571 -
I tried all of these potential fixes, but unfortunately, I still have the yellow blinking lights (all lights on the machine are blinking). Can I please have instructions to do a factory reset or is there another option?
Thanks!
