There is a problem with the supply system, try replacing the affected cartridge with a different, non-empty cartridge.  I have replaced two 2 brand new just purchased last week Cyan 952 for HP pro 8720 each brand-new cartridge shows this same message.  What is the problem?

Hi @FCch2,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

The error message "There is a problem with the supply system" suggests an issue with the cartridges in your HP Pro 8720 printer. Here are the steps to troubleshoot and resolve the error:

Check Cartridge Compatibility: Ensure that the new cartridges you have purchased are compatible with your HP Pro 8720 printer. Use only genuine HP 952 cartridges.

Inspect the Cartridge for Damage: Examine both the new and existing cartridges for any visible signs of damage or leakage.

Reinsert Cartridges: Remove and reinstall the cartridges to ensure they are seated correctly in the printer carriage. Make sure the cartridges click into place securely.

Wipe Electrical Contacts: Clean the electrical contacts on the cartridges and inside the printer with a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water. Ensure that you avoid touching the nozzles.

Replace with Other Cartridges: If you have another set of compatible cartridges, try inserting them to see if the error persists.

Power Cycle the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it for 60 seconds, and then plug it back in and turn it on. This can reset any temporary errors.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!

Hello, I tried all the solutions you gave,  and again took the cartridge back to store for more and the same result.

If the issue persists, try cleaning the printhead, if the printhead can be removed from the printer.
