Microsoft Windows 8.1 (32-bit)

We have just bought an HP officejet pro 7740 printer.  I cannot get it to print a legal size document from adobe acrobat pdf file.  It keeps coming up paper size mismatch error, even though I have set the printer size to legal and the advanced properties in printing to legal.  What am I doing wrong?  I really need to be able to print house plans on legal size paper.

Hi,

Please make sure the Paper Size for the printer is configured correctly for Legal Size, when you close the paper tray evaluate the shown prompt and click on No or Edit to change the Paper Size if required.

Also,  repeat the same for the other tray to ensure it meets the paper loaded in the other tray, any mis-configured tray may cause such an error.

Next open your PDF document in Adobe Reader and click on File > Print.

Ensure the following option is Unchecked within Adobe Reader, then click on Properties

Ensure the Paper Size is set as Legal and that the used tray with Legal Sized paper is selected, or as Automatic and press OK.

Now try printing and check for any change.
