Yes, but before u reinstall, lets see if we can update the printer ip in software.

Click START > All programs > Hp > Officejet 8620 > update ip.
Enter the printer ip as mentioned in earlier posts.

Are you able to print ? or is it the issue with only scanning from printer. ?

 

May i also know the anit-virus or firewall program installed in your PC. ?

It appears that once the wireless signal is lost or, no longer connected. Both print , and scan to computer is unavailable.

 

I have COMODO Internet security Pro.

Hello, 

 

 

May be the Comodo security is blocking the communication.

Please try the below steps ..

 


click Start > in search type in MSCONFIG and click on msconfig.exe >
In System Configuration window, click on tab STARTUP, in the below list, locate for COMODO and uncheck it.
Click Apply, then OK. Restart the PC.

 

Now try scanning.
