Last week my printer produced only empty pages while my cartridges were not empty. So I tried different times to print a testpage by pressing on Cancel and Start copying colour at the same time. So, after a while the testpage was printed but assignments from the computer were not. Since a couple of days I can print again from my computer (don't ask me why) but now every time I start the printer a testpage is printed. That costs a lot of inkt. How can I prevent the printer of printing the testpage?

Hey there! @Suske, Welcome to HP forums.

I understand your printer prints a test page every time you start the printer.

Don't worry I will try to help you out.

Did you make any changes to your printer?

Try aligning the printer and check if it helps.

Follow these steps to complete the alignment process.
Make sure the product is loaded with plain, white, letter or A4 sized paper that has no other printing on it.
Press the Power button () to turn off the product.
Wait for 30 seconds.
Press the Power button () to turn on the product.
The cartridge alignment process begins within 20 seconds.
Wait for the cartridge alignment process to fully complete. This might take a few minutes. The process completes when the alignment page prints and the product are idle and silent.
Turn off the product, and then turn the product back on.
If an alignment page does not print when you turn on the product, the issue is resolved.
If an alignment page continues to print when you turn on the product, continue to Step two: Remove, inspect, and reseat the cartridges.

If the issue still persists perform a hard reset on your printer.

Reset the printer to clear any hardware issues or error states.
Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Wait at least 60 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
   NOTE:
HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.
Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

I'll keep an eye out for your response.

I hope you have a great day! 🙂
