Hello.
A few days back i did help a senior man with his printer.
The printer suddenly stoppen printing from Word and show several times printer not active.
Strange enough printing from mobile devices does succeed, documents etc.
Word 2007 does not print directly but when i print to PDF and then make a print out all is well.
What did I do.
Remove driver and sofware according HP website.
Renew all drivers and software from the website as mentioned on the website.
No result.
I did run (with admin rights) HP scandoctor before removing driver and so on and this one reported several malfuntions.
But, all were repaired.
After all was done situation was still the same.
I have installed Libre Office, same result, no print out.
While using print to PDF and print with Adobe Reader all is well (again).
Strange enough the header sometimes comes on paper when printing using wireless network, as well using USB,, other times NO.
It differs each print !!
Resetting the network did not help.
What to do next?
Or say goodbye to office 2007 and upgarde to a higher version?
Will this be the solution after spending money to buy a higher Office?
How to solve this problem.
I am looking forward to a solution.
Regards from the Netherlands.
Dirk

Let's try these steps -
Download and install HP Print and Scan Doctor, it is a Windows tool to fix printer issues.
If the issue still persists, try re-installing the printer driver -
1. In the search box, type and open "Uninstall a Program".
2. Look for HP Printer software.
3. Right-click to uninstall.
4. In the search box, type and open “Devices and printers”.
5. In the Devices and Printers, look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose “Delete” or “Remove Device”.
6. Open the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
7. Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”).
8. Click on the "Drivers" tab.
9. Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click “Remove” at the bottom.
10. Select Ok.
11. Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows.
12. Close Devices and Printers Once the software and drivers are removed.
13. Restart the computer.
14. Download and install the software and drivers from here for Windows 10 (64-bit).
15. Click on the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.
Keep me posted.

@Dutchbarnie Greetings from the HP Community!
The issue could have been caused by the security settings changed on the user profile.
You may either create a new user, login with the new user profile to install the printer or Turn off the UAC from the control panel and Restart the PC.
Here are the steps to configure UAC settings:
Open User Account Control Settings by clicking the Start button and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type uac, and then click Change User Account Control settings.
To turn off UAC, move the slider to the Never notify position, and then click OK.
if you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. You will need to restart your computer for UAC to be turned off.
Keep us posted,

Hello.
Unfortunately the printer does not response at all on a printing order.
Not with UAC disabled, not with new user and added printer.
Not wireless, not (usb) wired.
On printing the test page stays blank now.
As well printing to pdf and then print out does not work anymore.
I used to help other persons with the same problem.
The installed a new version of Office, problems were gone.
Is this the solution for this man?
I already informed him about my earlier experiences.
Up to him to decide what to do or do you have another solution to try?
Regards, Dirk
