Hi @Clarity007,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP OfficeJet 4650 printer displayed an error message and then shut down completely, and it won't start up despite trying all recommended HP support solutions, there could be several reasons for this issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem:
Check Power Connection:
- Ensure that the printer is properly connected to a power source.
- Check the power cord for any visible damage and ensure it is securely plugged into both the printer and the power outlet.
Perform a Power Reset:
- Disconnect the power cord from the printer and wait for about 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord and try turning on the printer again.
- Sometimes a power reset can resolve temporary issues with the printer's internal components.
Check for Jammed Paper or Obstructions:
- Open the printer's access doors and check for any jammed paper or foreign objects inside the printer.
- Remove any paper jams or obstructions carefully to avoid damaging the printer's internal components.
Inspect Ink Cartridges:
- Check the ink cartridges to ensure they are properly installed and seated in their respective slots.
- Remove and reinsert the ink cartridges to ensure they are making proper contact with the printer.
Check for Overheating:
- If the printer displayed an error message before shutting down, it's possible that it may have overheated.
- Allow the printer to cool down for a while before attempting to power it on again.
Test Power Outlet:
- Plug another electronic device into the same power outlet to verify that the outlet is providing power.
- If other devices work fine, the issue may be with the printer itself.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
