I bought a new printr, HP 5275, and installed the software. After installation, I doublr click the icon of "HP Deskjet 5200 series", but nothing is hapenning.
I red somewhere that I need to uninstall all old HP drivers, so I did and reinstalled the new 5200 SW, but again, it doesn't respond.
Can you help with it?

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂 I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.
Let's try to root uninstall and reinstall the software:
1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'
6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
14.) Type c:/programdata and click Ok. Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
15.) Restart the computer.
Download and install the software: https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers

Thanks @Betty0610.
I removed all old HP drivers, but there is one stubborn driver which I'm not managing ot remove. Each time I try to remove it I get a message that it's in use. I closed all possibe programs which may be using this driver, but it's still "in use".
Is that why the SW won't open? because there is some old driver? sounds strange. In any case, if that's the case, can you direct me how to remove this old HO driver?
Thanks!

Since it's saying "in use". Let's restart the spooler service:
- Stop the spooler service.
- Navigate to %SystemRoot%\System32\spool\PRINTERS, on most systems this will be the path C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS.
- Delete all files in this directory.
- Restart the spooler service.
Once this is done, please perform the steps mentioned in my previous post.

Thanks @Betty0610.
However, it didn't help. I still can't remove the old drivers of "HP deskjet 930C/932C/...". So if you say that's the reason that the new printer's SW doesn't open, then the problem is still not resolved. Sorry...

Let's run the HP Print and Scan Doctor:

Let me know what happens.

Hi @Betty0610,
I downloaded and ran the tool. It checked everything and said it's all fine. But still the software does not open. I don't have any problem to print or to scan. it all works. Just can't ioen the control program.

Gershon
