My HP Officejet Pro 8035 keeps having issues with the ink cartridges. It started a couple of weeks ago and I have tried so many different troubleshooting, still same problem. I just received new ink cartridges today from Instant Ink. Still same problem.
1. Have RESET PRINTER
2. Taken out cartridges and cleaned them.
3. Cleaned the prong where the cartridges click into.
4. Taken them out, RESET PRINTER, AND PUT THEM BACK IN.
I am not sure what else to do, I am sure it is probably time to buy a new printer. This printer is about 4 years old. It is not in the budget to replace. Any and all help is appreciated. Thank you

Hi @CancerCrust,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you've tried several troubleshooting steps already, but let's see if we can find a solution to your printer issue before considering purchasing a new one.
Here are a few additional steps you can try.
- Update Printer Firmware: Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. Sometimes, outdated firmware can cause compatibility issues with newer ink cartridges.
- Check Cartridge Contacts: Inspect the contacts on both the ink cartridges and inside the printer to ensure there is no debris or damage. Clean them gently with a lint-free cloth dampened with water or isopropyl alcohol if necessary.
- Check Cartridge Alignment: Ensure that the ink cartridges are properly aligned and seated correctly in their respective slots. They should click into place securely.
- Perform a Hard Reset: Turn off the printer, disconnect the power cord, and wait a few minutes before reconnecting and turning it back on. This can sometimes resolve various issues by clearing the printer's memory.
If none of these steps work and you're still experiencing issues with your printer, it may indeed be time to consider a replacement.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
