Quick question: What is HP's Guidance for print frequency in order to maintain a non-clogged Printer?
I know it's a general question, but I don't use my printer a lot, and just want to know what's the minimum suggested usage in order to keep a modern HP inkjet in good working order.
Many thanks, much appreciated!

Hi! @imagegod, Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.
I understand you would like to know how can you keep the ink cartridges from getting clogged.
Don't worry I'll try to help you out.
Did you make any changes to your printer?
Are you using HP genuine ink cartridges or refilled ink cartridges?
Have you tried printing using a different ink cartridge?
As you mentioned you would like to know how can you keep the ink cartridges from getting clogged.
For best results, use genuine HP cartridges and follow these guidelines:
Keep ink cartridges sealed in the original package until they are installed. Store at temperatures between -15 and 35 degrees Celsius (5 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit).
To keep cartridges from drying out, always turn the printer off using the Power button, and wait until the Power light goes out before you pull the plug or turn off a power strip. This allows the printer to move the cartridges to a capped position.
If you remove a cartridge from the printer for any reason, try to replace it again as soon as possible. Outside of the printer, if unprotected, cartridges begin to dry out. If the printer uses separate ink cartridges and printhead, the printhead can be damaged if cartridges are not installed.
Also, try printing a test page once in a week to keep the ink cartridges from drying out.

Mr. Robot:
Thanks for your help...very much appreciated!
I don't have any existing problems...every suggestion you made I am gladly following.
Re: 'Printing a test page once a week', I'm assuming that means I should print something with black & white and color on a single page once a week to keep the ink flowing.
If that's correct, we should be all set.
Thanks again for your help...it's very much appreciated!
