My smart tank 7005 will not print either pages or photos in full colour. The pictures have a purple colour over all. I have gone through the process of checking in levels, cleaming/aligning nozzles but it makes no difference. What can I do to get full clour prints for all printer outputs?

Hi @Sculumba,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like your HP Smart Tank 7005 is having issues with color output, specifically showing a purple tint in your prints. Since you've already gone through the nozzle cleaning and alignment process without success, here are a few more steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.
Check Ink Levels and Cartridge Condition
- Verify ink levels in the HP Smart app or printer display to ensure there is sufficient ink in all colors, especially the cyan and yellow cartridges.
- Inspect the ink cartridges for any visible issues such as leaks, drying, or clogs. If the cyan or yellow ink levels are low or the ink looks degraded, replacing the cartridge may solve the problem.
Run the Printer's Ink Cartridge Cleaning Cycle
- Run the cleaning cycle again via the printer settings or HP Smart app, but this time try doing it several times in a row if necessary. Sometimes a deeper cleaning is needed to clear up stubborn clogs.
- After cleaning, try printing a test page or color document to check the result.
Perform a Manual Ink Cartridge Reset
- Power off the printer and unplug it for about 30 seconds.
- While unplugged, remove and reseat the ink cartridges.
- Plug the printer back in and power it on. This can sometimes help reset the cartridges and fix issues related to communication with the printer.
Check for Driver or Software Updates
- Ensure your printer drivers are up-to-date. Sometimes, outdated drivers can cause color mismanagement.
- Download the latest version of HP Smart and check for any firmware or driver updates that might help resolve the color issue.
Try a Color Calibration or Printhead Alignment
- In addition to the alignment you’ve already tried, there may be a color calibration option in the printer’s settings that can help correct color discrepancies.
- If the printer has a manual printhead alignment option, run that to see if it helps with the issue.
Test with Different Media
- Sometimes, the paper or photo media you're using can affect the quality of the print. Try printing on a different type of paper to rule out media-related issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
