HP2136
macOS 10.12 Sierra

When installing the driver for the printer, after accepting the HP terms and conditions, I can only see my neighbour's HP printer not the HP2136 printer I'm sitting right next to with my Macbook.  The printer is on. The printer display is basic and it doesn't show a wifi symbol so I don't know if it is connected my wifi. How do I install the driver on my macbook for this printer without using a cable.  I tried to connect the printer manually by typing in the ip provided through system preferences but Apple doesn't have this driver software on its drop down selection.

Hi @Albi2017,

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that you are unable to connect to your HP DeskJet 2136 All-in-One Printer on the wireless network.

This issue has occurred because this printer is not a wireless compatible printer. It can be connected to the computer only by a USB cable.

You may check the specifications in the link: Printer Specifications

You may follow the steps to setup the printer from the link: USB Printer Setup (Mac)

Let me know how this works.

You have a good day ahead.
