Like others, I'm stuck. I've tried all the posted reset tries with no success. Yes, HP cartridges being used. I've taken them out and then back in. Paper tray fine. No jam. Had a message on the printer a couple weeks ago with an update which I said "yes" to the update. Cannot copy, scan and yet it will still print while displaying "printing alignment page" message. HELP!

Welcome to HP Support Forums.
Thanks for posting on the HP Support Forums. MKazi is at your service.
I understand that your HP Officejet 4630 e-All-in-One Printer is stuck at "printing alignment page" message. The printer is able to print but cannot copy and scan.
You have done a remarkable job in troubleshooting this issue.
I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate and fix the issue:
NOTE: Please skip the steps if already attempted.
- Disconnect the power cable from the printer while the printer is still ON.
- Disconnect any other cables if connected the printer.
- Press and hold the printer’s power button for 15 seconds.
- The printer should be directly connected to the wall outlet and not to a surge protector.
- Reconnect the power cable to print and the printer should power ON by itself. If the printer doesn’t power ON then please manually power it ON.
Try updating the firmware on the printer by following the below steps:
NOTE: The printer needs to be restarted once the firmware update is installed successfully.
In case the printer does not let you to update the firmware then me know the operating system (Mac OS or Windows) you're using. And if the issue still persists after updating the firmware then I suggest you to reset the printer.
A private message has been sent with the semi full reset instructions. This reset will restore the printer to its original factory condition.
I sincerely hope this information helps. Please feel free to keep me posted for further assistance.
All the best!
