Hi @shaesmomny,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP 6000 printer is displaying error code E9 and you've already tried virtual advice that didn't work, you may need to perform some additional troubleshooting steps. Error codes on printers can vary depending on the model and manufacturer, so it's important to consult your printer's manual or support documentation for specific guidance. However, here are some general steps you can try to resolve the E9 error.

  • Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for a few minutes. Then, plug it back in and turn it on. Sometimes, a simple restart can clear out temporary errors.
  • Check for Paper Jams: Open all the access doors and paper trays of the printer and carefully inspect for any paper jams or obstructions. If you find any, remove them.
  • Check for Ink/Toner Levels: Ensure that the printer has sufficient ink or toner. Low ink or toner levels can sometimes trigger error codes.
  • Perform a Hardware Reset: Most printers have a way to perform a hardware reset. This often involves holding down specific buttons or combinations of buttons while turning the printer on. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to perform a hardware reset.
  • Update Firmware: Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer on the HP website. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve errors.
  • Inspect for Foreign Objects: Look inside the printer for any foreign objects that may be blocking the print head or other components. Ensure the printer is turned off and unplugged before doing this.
  • Reinstall Printer Drivers: If you have recently updated your computer's operating system or made changes to your printer's settings, try uninstalling and reinstalling the printer drivers.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
