Just installed a new wifi router and wifi name/password.

 

Tried to change settings on printer to new wifi but when I click on the Wifi Set up Wizard I get a message saying 'this featuer has been locked by the person who set up the printer' That was me, I didn't...

Any thoughts? Shouldn't really require a message to support for something so trivial

Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

 

We need to perform a Semi full reset to restore the printer back to its original settings.

 

The reset instructions are specific to your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device. 

 

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer. 

 

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.

I have a HP Smart Tank Plus 555 Printer and am having the same problem to connect it to Wifi because I have been sent a new router.  Managed to get the laptop and android connected but so far not the printer.  

As a different problem, sometimes when I go to use the printer, when I try to print it doesn't, I go to settings and I am told that the printer is offline.  The only thing I can do is start the printer troubleshooter to go through the problem, usually it works after that.  Is there an easier solution to that as well since I am asking about the router  and wi fi problem.  Thanks in advance
