HP LaserJet M209dwe Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have years of office experience with all kinds of printers, mainframe computers, home laser jet and large format printers--but this M209 is a nightmare!   It's forever jammed or pretending to jam when it isn't.   Getting it to print anything is always a crap shoot.   But the part that is really making me want to throw the %?/&# thing through the window is the company's policy with ink.   This business of having to estimate my output and buy ink accordingly is not feasible for a retired couple with highly variable printing needs.   It's a pain in the rear to have to send for a cartridge before I need one, and then fiddle with sending back the old one.   Add insult to injury and the company can simply stop my ability to print if I am sick and don't get around to buying a new cartridge on their schedule--controlling MY machine that I bought and maintain privately.   Just what makes them jerk customers around by the hair?   I'm sure I'm past the warranty, so I'll just throw the machine in the dump and buy something from another manufacturer who doesn't hold me hostage.   If I wanted to own a fussy machine, I would just buy a Ducati motorcycle or a '60's British sports car.   At least they could be fun when they are working!
